FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Carriage Club Leads the Way to a Greener Lone Tree
LONE TREE, Colo. (Sept., 24 2008) - On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Carriage Club subdivision in Lone Tree will host a Recycling Expo featuring valuable information about the City of Lone Tree’s recycling program, a free drop-off location for electronics, free food, games, and much more.
The event will be hosted by Team Koz (Michael Kozlowski’s Lone Tree Real Estate Experts), Susie Wargin of 9News, and the City of Lone Tree. Kozlowski and Wargin are Carriage Club residents.
Altogether Recycling, which offers the latest innovations in recycling, is the City of Lone Tree’s sole recycling company. With Altogether Recycling, residents no longer have to sort recyclable materials into separate bins. All sorting is done at the facility, which means recycling has never been easier or more productive for the environment. Altogether Recycling accepts aluminum, cardboard, bottles, cans, newspaper, office paper and most plastics.
Representatives from both Altogether Recycling and Pro Disposal (the City’s waste hauling company) will be on hand to answer questions, demonstrate examples of acceptable recyclables and distribute helpful information. For more information about Altogether Recycling, visit www.altogetherrecycling.com
The City of Lone Tree will have free curbside recycling bins to hand out, and Safeway will give away reusable grocery bags while supplies last.
Residents can also bring used tennis shoes to be recycled by Runner’s Roost. Anyone donating shoes will receive a $10 off coupon to use at any Runner’s Roost location.
Free pizza, courtesy of the City of Lone Tree, along with sodas and cookies courtesy of Safeway, will also be available while they last.
The Carriage Club Recycling Expo will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th at Centennial Ridge Park, accessed by turning south from Lincoln Avenue on Lone Tree Parkway and following the parkway around to the top of the ’horseshoe.’
